Man Back In Prison After Boat Rage Incident in Tairua

A 58 year old Tairua man appeared in the Hamilton District Court this morning on charges following a boat rage incident in Tairua on 23 January.
He has been been granted interim name suppression and recalled to prison. The court was told of his criminal history and as a result an interim recall order has come into effect pending a final decision by the Parole Board.
He is due to reappear in the Thames District Court next month.
Meanwhile the other party involved in the incident, a local 52 year old woman, has also been charged and is due to appear in the Thames District Court next week.
