Beloved Whiti Farm Park woke up on Sunday 31st May to wreckage.
Up at first light a head count showed a Scottish Highland cattle, 2 miniture horses, donkeys and an emu were missing.
After locating the rest of the animals Ronnie said Nessie, the Scottish Highland, was still missing.
“She was way down past Wilderlands shop in the marshland that leads into the Whitianga estuary,” said Ronnie. “She had pretty much been swimming, washed away by the flooding, about a kilometre and a half from where she started.”
Nessie is now happy as larry and Whiti Farm Park is closed repairing damage, but hope to reopen for the July school holidays.
