Learn some fascinating facts about our Coromandel kiwi from an accredited kiwi handler.

Diane Prince has had a long career working with a trained kiwi dog to help save kiwi.

They have been called in to rescue kiwi from plantation forestry before logging, or to lift eggs from areas where they are at risk of stoat predation to be reared in predator-free locations.

As our MEG kiwi expert, Diane analyses the results from the kiwi listening we undertake in the northern Coromandel each year.

Come along and find out how our Coromandel kiwi are faring.

Our winter gatherings in the Pepper Tree Restaurant are a warm, inviting way to learn about our native plants and animals.
