Organisers of this weekend’s Whitianga Oceans Festival remain optimistic that up to 4000 people could attend.
This from the chairperson of the organising committee, Linda Bird, who yesterday spoke to CFM as the final plans were being put in place on the Whitianga waterfront.
Linda saying there was an expectation of between 3700 and 4000 people taking part – tickets are still available.
Both local and international acts will perform with 19 food and beverages outlets focusing on a coast meets farm theme.
For the organisers, as Linda put it there are lots of thank yous needed, these include the local sponsors who have made it possible for the festival happen, right through to national and local government event funding support.
