It had lots of promise, and it did delivered – this being Whitianga Oceans Festival which returned at the weekend after a three year hiatus.
More than 3500 people attended with one of the organisers, Nick Reader, describing the event as being really good and a success for those who put in on.
He said the festival was credited with having a significant financial impact on the Mercury Bay this being into the millions of dollars.
Visitors began arriving on Friday the result of this being busy cafes and restaurants. Looking forward the Festival organisers are now expecting further growth while they will be taking a qualitative review to enhance the future experience for stall holders and visitors.
