ORCA Footage Provides Understanding Says Expert

Locally based Marine Scientist, Riley Elliott, was nothing short of ecstatic by the recent images of ORCA encounters around Mercury Bay.

CFM posted incredible images of a baby ORCA coming up to the back of a boat over the weekend.

Also over recent days there have been images of OCRA and dolphins swimming around the regions coastal waters and in harbour waterways.

Riley said the presence of the animals was part of their normal feeding circuit, the encounters he said encourage people to understand the beautiful animals.
