Thames High School Open Evening

Walk through our doors and experience the warm and welcoming environment that makes Thames High School | Te Kura Tuarua o Te Kauaeranga, feel like home and our community’s choice since 1880.

We warmly invite prospective students and their whānau to our 2027 Open Evening on Wednesday 12th August starting at 5pm, where they can discover what makes Thames High School a place where students belong, are challenged, and are supported to succeed.

The evening begins in the School Hall with a welcome from our Principal and Deputy Principals; after, guided tours will be available with our students. Along the way, you’ll meet our dedicated teachers, explore our learning spaces, and discover the wide range of academic, sporting, cultural, arts, and leadership opportunities available to our students. Find out about our pastoral care, learning support, and pathways beyond school to ensure every learner is known, valued, and encouraged to achieve their best.

Whether your child is starting Year 9 in 2027 or considering joining Thames High School at another year level, we look forward to welcoming you and sharing what makes our school community so special.
