Clean up Whitianga- Buffalo Beach

Come along and help clean up Buffalo Beach on September 16th- We would love your help to do our part on World Clean up day!

Wāhi Tukurua is organizing the event in alignment with Keep NZ Beautiful Clean Up Week, and also World Clean Up Day. We are meeting at the Buffalo Beach Reserve at 9:30am for a quick briefing and then participants will go to their chosen area of Whiti and collect litter. All the rubbish can be brought back to the reserve, where we will weigh it and take it to be disposed of. (Please bring reusable gloves and bags, bucket, boxes, if possible. Some will be provided though).

The event runs until 12pm, and there will be hot soup provided for participants, and some spot prizes. We feel it’s a great way to come together, help clean up our little part of Aotearoa and protect our local environment.
