Goldfield’s Railway Open Day

Goldfields Railway is holding a public open day, a chance to soak up local rail heritage! 

Held at historic 1905-era Waihi Station.  Enjoy a chance for Hauraki, Coromandel & Western Bay of Plenty locals to learn more about the area’s railway history, as well as celebrate the success of what has evolved into a major tourist attraction. 

Goldfields Railway will be running 3 return trips from Waihi Station from 9.34a.m.  Also, the railway will be operating its miniature railway, a display of locomotives, offering workshop tours and a fund-raising garage sale.
