Lakeside Playground Opening – Family Fun Day

Join us as we celebrate the opening of the new Lakeside playground – a vibrant new space for families, tamariki and the wider community to enjoy.

Designed around the theme of Matariki, the playground reflects imagination, play and connection. This event is all about coming together, enjoying the outdoors and marking the opening of a place created for local families.

On the day there’ll be plenty happening for all ages – from a seeding planting station where tamariki can plant and take home a seedling, to giant bubbles, free face painting, roaming performers and food trucks.

Bring a picnic blanket, let the kids explore the playground, and enjoy a relaxed afternoon by the lake.
