Coromandel Peninsula Easter Roading Information

People are urged to drive with caution if travelling to or from the Coromandel for the Easter period and expect temporary traffic management or temporary speed limits in some places. Plan ahead, and check www.cfm.co.nz/roads, www.journeys.nzta.govt.nz and tcdc.govt.nz/roads for the latest information on road conditions across the Coromandel Peninsula before heading out.
SH25, north of Wharekaho: a temporary speed limit may be in place over the long weekend.
SH25 Tairua: Temporary traffic management will be in place at the one lane Pepe Bridge.
SH25 Kūaotunu Hill: A lane closure remains at the site of a large underslip.
SH25 Pumpkin Hill: Work to repair storm damage at multiple locations along a 3km stretch on Pumpkin Hill, north of Tairua, continues and lane closures will be in place.
SH2 Karangahake Gorge (Paeroa–Waihī): All lanes will be open through the gorge over the Easter weekend before storm recovery works continue from Tuesday April 7 with lane closures and speed restrictions.
