Ferry Service Review Set For March

The review into the future of the Auckland-Coromandel ferry service will be undertaken in March with the trial Explore service scheduled to continue until April.

The Auckland Operations Manager for the Explore Group, Lisa Edser, has told CFM that the service is going well.

Lisa said passenger numbers had increased over the holiday period but the weather had not been as kind as the company had hoped for, hence numbers had been slow to build.

Over the past weekend numbers were good and remained steady.

Lisa said the review in March would be undertake with the Coromandel Business Association and Thames Coromandel District Council.
