It is renowned as one of the international tourist destinations on the Coromandel Peninsula, but the visitors are still not arriving, because they believe the access road is closed.
This is the case for the Tapu-Coroglen Road, it is closed, but only once you are past the Rapaura Water Gardens. Unfortunately, Google Maps does not know this which continues to cause confusion.
Owner of the gardens, Sacha Sank, is very philosophical and believes by the coming summer everything will be open and the guests and visitors will return.
Sacha tells us this, but there has been no contact from Thames Coromandel District Council on what is happening with the road which he relies on to bring the tourists.
