Homicide Investigation Following Altercation

Shouting and threats were heard yesterday at the Rolleston Street Thames property, today being the scene of a homicide investigation.
A neighbour told CFM others in the street heard the abuse.
Police have confirmed that there was an altercation after which a person was found to have moderate injuries. That person subsequently passed away in hospital overnight.
Now Police are looking to locate a person of interest – saying there is no risk to the wider community. They are requesting anyone who has any information to come forward.
The section of the street adjacent to Thames South School remains closed to traffic.
