More Action Called For On Cancer Drug Funding

The increased provision of Pharmac funded cancer drugs still needs more action and less talk, according to a local police sergeant who has been living with the disease since December three years ago.
Whangamata’s Will Hamilton is referring to haematological cancers, he is having to fund his treatment which is being achieved on the back of what he describes as incredible public and community support.
As an example a Give A Little page set up by a friend to raise the $150,000 needed annually for treatment, yesterday reached $119,372.
