World renowned down-under artists will headline the Whitianga Summer Concert Series next January the line-up announced today includes both Cold Chisel and Icehouse.
New Zealand’s Bec Runga will also feature with Everclear filling the card.
For Cold Chisel they will bring their 50th anniversary tour, their involvement comes on the back of recently selling out 20 concerts in Australia.
It has taken four years for Greenstone Entertainment’s Summer Tour to return to Whitianga, the return follows the 2022 concert not going ahead due to covid, in 2023 it was the weather which forced the event cancellation, this year due to roading issues it was transferred to Hamilton.
But as promised to Mercury Bay concert organisers Greenstone Entertainment said they would be back.
Ticket prices start from $159 plus a booking fee or until sold out. Express Entry, VIP and Greenstone Club options are available.
Greenstone Entertainment’s Summer Concert tour has been a regular fixture on the summer calendar, performing to around 450k people since their beginning and this year delivers what is considered their strongest line up to date.
Greenstone’s CEO, Amanda Calvert says: “With this being our 15th anniversary, we are privileged to celebrate it with Cold Chisel, ICEHOUSE, Bic Runga and Everclear.
“The Summer Concert Tour has cemented itself as an annual pilgrimage where friends get together and enjoy some of the best music of our lifetime. To think that over the years we have entertained so many people at our shows, hosted over 42 musical legends, had a massive economic impact on regional towns, and have made friends with so many great people along the way.
“We are so looking forward to the 2025 Summer Concert Tour and delivering our best concert series yet.”
The concert at Whitianga is on Sunday, January 26 – Greenstone Concert Club members and One NZ customers can purchase tickets tomorrow, general sales from July 1.
