Just a reminder about our 2025 Plantathon this Friday & Saturday
Friday 23rd: Meet at 9 a.m., just north of the windsock on Pāuanui Boulevard. Saturday 24th: Meet at 9 a.m., just south of the Royal Billy carpark.We’re calling on all hands to help us plant!
The best part? No digging required! Our auger operators will drill the holes, and volunteers just drop in a fertiliser tab, hold the plant carefully in the hole, then backfill with sand to secure the plant and eliminate any air gaps around the roots

It’s a fun community event and suitable for all ages—so bring your whānau, your mates, and anyone keen to lend a hand.
TCDC will be putting on a sausage sizzle at lunchtime to thank everyone for their efforts!
What to bring:

closed-toe shoes suitable for working in sand

gardening gloves if you wish

a water bottle, hat, etc

a spade, although that is optional given the augers
