Local Providers Have Input Into Rural Health Roadshow

Health providers took the opportunity to share their views on how services could be better delivered across the region when attending yesterday’s rural health roadshow in Thames.
It was the 12th roadshow, this time involving Associate Minister for Health Matt Doocey, the Minister for Rural Communities, Mark Patterson, and local Member of Parliament Scott Simpson.
Those present put forward questions covering aspects of staff shortages and burn-out and the need for a co-ordinated locally based approach to health issues.
The likes of the Colville Project received an airing while Te Korowai O Hauora representatives supported the call for local providers working together to bring about solutions.
