Local champions from all walks of life are fronting a campaign in the Coromandel and Hauraki regions to prevent child sexual abuse. A total of 17 locals have put their names and faces to the three month campaign. They include a mayor, parents, Police, health workers, community leaders, teachers, farmers and principals. Billboards will be put up in Paeroa, Thames, Coromandel, Waihi, and Whitianga and posters of the 17 champions will be displayed around towns in the Hauraki and Coromandel regions. Weekly columns will also be in the Hauraki Herald and playing here on Coromandel CFM
