Whiritoa |
Crew tasked by Police to Whiritoa to assist with the search and rescue of two men (one in his 50’s, the other in his 30’s) fishing off the southern end of Whiritoa Beach. One of the men had reportedly fallen into the water and the other helped him get back onto rocks but they were unable to get back to the beach. They were retrieved by winch by our Critical Care Paramedic. Both were in a minor condition and were left in the care of ambulance. Westpac 1 returned to base. |
