Big Arts Day Out in conjunction with the Harcourts Challenge & Youth Awards runs over 2 days and is preceded by a Wine and Cheese Preview and Prize-giving evening.
BADO is the Arts Collective Whangamata’s biggest event of the year. Showcasing the work of the talented artists from around the Thames/Coromandel region. This event runs in conjunction with the Harcourts Challenge and Youth Awards. The theme chosen for the 2020 Challenge is ‘What’s on your mind’. There is a Wine & Cheese Preview evening (entry by ticket only) at which the winners of the Challenge will be announced and receive their awards. The Big Arts Day Out event has become very popular for locals and summer visitors alike and really can be a great day out for socialising, viewing exceptional art and possibly falling in love with some artwork and just having to buy it. There is a seated refreshment area and the opportunity to win an exceptional raffle.
