With global adventure racing having its spiritual home as the Coromandel Peninsula, now a book has captured the past 20 years of racing.
Events include the peninsula’s K2 bike race and Kauri run. Over the period more than 32,000 people have competed – one of the three drivers is Andy Reid who is about to have his record published.
The tile captures a competitor’s response at the end of an early race – Are You Trying to Kill Us. With Keith Stevenson, Andy annually attracted hundreds of men and women who ran, kayaked and biked on tracks, trails and tributaries unearthed by the pair.
All proceeds from the book are going towards the running costs of the Coromandel Bike Park, which they helped create, plus continuing to support their planting of some 20,000 kauri trees across the top end.
We have an interview with Andy click on the link below.
