Not Guilty Plea to Shooting Charges

The man accused of shooting two people on the 309 Road last Friday has been named as Stuart Campbell Edmondson, aged 77.
Name suppression lapsed today when he appeared in the Hamilton High Court.
Edmondson entered pleas of not guilty to the charges of murdering Kevin Mabbott of Whangamata and the attempted murder of a second man.
Police are yet to name the second person who yesterday was listed in a serious condition in Auckland Hospital.
Many details on Edmondson and the circumstances of the incident remain supressed including the location of his home, background and historic information and how the shooting occurred.
He is due to reappear in court on February 4.
