Hauraki Mayor Stands for Third Term

Current Hauraki District Mayor, Toby Adams, has confirmed that he will be re-standing at October’s local government elections.

Re-elected unopposed at the 2022 election, if successful, Mayor Toby will face his third term as the district’s mayor.

He won his way into office in 2019 having previously been deputy mayor. His time in local government began in 2010 when elected councillor.

Hauraki District since its inception in 1989 has only had three mayors the other two being Basil Morrison and John Tregidga.
