Show Me Shorts is New Zealand’s biggest little film festival. They’re bringing collections of short films to cinemas across Aotearoa during October and November. Many of those screenings will sell out, so make sure you book.
The films span a wide range of topics, genres and styles. They come from all over the world, as far as Norway, Croatia, Antarctica, Japan and Switzerland. And as close by as Hamilton, Christchurch and Wellywood.
Sit back and enjoy some of the best and most vibrant short films from New Zealand and around the world. This collection provides a great way to sample what Show Me Shorts is all about. The films feature a lost donkey, a stolen moon buggy, a history lesson, a hijacked car, and a reluctant gnome. Well-known local actors Alison Bruce, Miriama McDowell and Jeffrey Thomas feature in the films, along with singer-songwriter Finn Andrews and Hollywood players Jason Schwartzman and Jake Johnson.
The films are:
– Amerigo and the New World by Luis Briceno, Laurent Crouzeix
– Nefta Football Club by Yves Piat
– Walk a Mile by Judith Cowley
– Rū by Awanui Simich-Pene
– Memory Foam by Paloma Schneideman
– One By The Venom – Finn Andrews by Alexandar Gandar
– Korte Kuitspier (Short Calf Muscle) by Victoria Warmerdam
– To Plant a Flag by Bobbie Peers
