COROMANDEL COVID-19 UPDATE – Wednesday 25 August 2021 – Day 8 of Lockdown

There are 62 new cases in the community today. This brings the total to 210 with 198 in Auckland and 12 on Wellington. There are still no cases on the Coromandel.

Six sub-clusters have been identified including the Assembly of God Church of Samoa which has 105 cases associated with it.

Wastewater testing has again identified a positive trace in Warkworth, North of Auckland. Additional testing is underway in that area and so far around 6% of the local residents have been tested. Dr Bloomfield has advised of a positive case in Warkworth but no further details have been announced at this time.

A review of the continuation of Level 4 lockdown will take place this Friday for all areas apart from Auckland.
