Kieron spoke to Dr Ingrid Visser on World Orca Day:
Orca, or Killer Whales are a top a predator, incredibly intelligent and have diverse cultures. Ingrid’s research on the orca is ground breaking, focusing on the cultural aspects of orca behaviour – in particular their feeding methods and socialising.
Ingrid is the author of two children’s books and an autobiography, Swimming with Orca. She was involved in the acclaimed documentary ‘Blackfish’, which investigated the death of a SeaWorld trainer. And she is part of the Advisory Group to the Whale Sanctuary Project.
