A busy day for rescue helicopter on first day of summer service on the Coromandel

A busy day for Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust on their first day of being based on the Coromandel for summer yesterday.
No sooner had they arrived yesterday, the Westpac Rescue – Auckland Helicopter was called to a job in Whitianga. At 9:05am crew were tasked to assist a male patient in his 60’s suffering a medical complaint. He was flown to Waikato Hospital in a serious condition.
Early afternoon they were back in the sky heading to Hahei where crew were tasked to Hahei to assist a male patient in his 40’s suffering a medical complaint. He was flown to Auckland City Hospital in a critical condition.
At 3:57pm Westpac 3 crew tasked to Thames to assist a girl involved in a motor vehicle accident that closed SH25 in Thames for nearly 4 hours. The female patient was flown to Starship Hospital in a serious condition.
