First Hand Goes Up In Mayoral Race

The first move on the Thames Coromandel Districts top job has been made with Councillor Peter Revell today announcing he will be challenging for the mayoralty next October.
The former Thames Community Board member and now a district councillor, said the decision came after much reflection and discussion with family and friends.
“After three years on the (Thames) community board and now two years as a (District) councillor, I believe I have the passion, energy, experience and skills that our district needs for this role,” said Cr Revell.
Citing his on-going focus and commitment to his current role, Cr Revell advised that he would not be making any further election-based comments at this stage.
